Schedules

The Equipment Scheduler allows you to schedule APOGEE events and zones on the Desigo CC calendar using the Zone Editor and Event Editor.

Schedules are calendar entries that describe when an equipment zone or event is started and stopped. Daily and weekly scheduling establishes the normal or regular schedule for an event or a zone in a specific mode. The normal schedule is in effect when no replacement day, day shift, or override schedule is in effect.

Special Assignments and Overrides

A special assignment can be a replacement day or day shift. Replacement days are used for anticipated changes from the normal schedule where the replacement schedule is in one of the seven pre-programmed replacement days. Examples of replacement days are holidays and regularly scheduled special events. A day shift is used for changes from the normal schedule where the schedule of another day of the week can be used. Examples of using day shift are anticipated (holidays) or unanticipated (a meeting that extends into the next day) schedule changes.

Overrides are usually used for unanticipated, non-repeating changes in a day’s schedule where no other previously entered schedule (daily or replacement day) can be used. Custom start and end times are entered, and the override is executed only once.

In Timeline Viewer, schedules with special assignments—such as a replacement day, day shift, or override—are indicated by dotted borders. Disabled schedules display with hashmarks through the entire schedule entry.

Dates for a specific replacement day are assigned in the Replacement Day Editor, while exception times for replacement days and day shifts are defined in the Zone Editor.

NOTE:
Replacement days and day shifts are considered global data, and any changes to them affect all field panels on your APOGEE P2 network.

Day Shift

The day shift function allows you to substitute a different weekday (Monday through Sunday) in place of a selected date’s normal schedule. A day shift is used for changes from the normal schedule where the schedule of another weekday can be used, such as for schedule changes that are anticipated (holidays) or unanticipated (a meeting that extends into the next day). For example, you want to replace the event and zone schedules on Monday with the event and zone schedules of Saturday.

NOTE:
Day shifts and replacement days do not affect one-time schedules.

Replacement Days

The replacement day function allows you to substitute the schedule of one of the seven replacement days in place of the selected date’s normal schedule. A replacement day is used in place of any of the standard Monday through Sunday schedules and is typically used for holidays. This allows a different schedule for each of the seven holidays.

For example, you can replace a Monday schedule with a Christmas schedule on December 25. Once a replacement day has replacement schedules, you can assign the replacement day to one on the calendar.

NOTE:
Day shifts and replacement days do not affect one-time schedules.

Overrides

Overrides allow you to make changes to event schedules and zone schedules for a selected date only. Future scheduling of the event or zone schedule is not affected. Overriding an event affects all zones in that event.

You can use an override instead of a replacement day or day shift when the required start and stop times do not exist in a replacement day or day shift, since the override function allows you to specify any start and stop times.
