Resident Point

Also known as a reserved point. A predefined logical point that permanently reside in the PPCL program in the field panel. Insight references resident points to provide time-based and system status information such as checking the current time and date. These points can also monitor alarms, modes of operation, and communications between nodes. Some resident points are: alarm count (ALMCNT), battery status ($BATT), day of the month (DAYOFM), and military time (TIME).
